Features

I encourage my students to create their own voices as contemporary artists straddling the lines of past and future. I ask my students to look beyond the movements of a dance and ask them to critically analyse the way a movement is performed; why or how it came to be; and what effect it has on an individual and a community of people. My goal as an educator is to show that Irish dances are fundamental to the heritage of Ireland while also being a catalyst from which we can create a more inclusive and equitable identity of Irish culture.
